Chapter Twenty Two: I Made It Through The Rain

Dear Diary,

**clear cobwebs.. blow the dust away.....

I haven't been updating this blog since I left for Tekong. Since I left for National Service. Since I left to become a man. Since I was force to go out of my comfort box and move out. Since I was force to grow up. Since the government said so.

I can't say much about Tekong. This is some of the activities I manage to got through tekong.

  1. IPPT
  2. SOC
  3. Field Camp
  4. Range with my rifle
  5. SIT test
  6. Throwing of Grenade
  7. OC/Recruit's Night
  8. 24km Route March.
All that accomplish within 13 months. Many good memories with my bunkmates and many bad memories that has happen so far. Nonetheless I'm quite thankful for all the things that happen in Tekong. Even after I left stories still lingers around.

I'm quite proud of myself for that moment in time. Lost weight gain weight all within the period of time. As we left for our own courses in life, I know deep down inside no one understood what has been put through for you.

I miss my mates a lot but I know I have to step out. Passing out parade, no tears at all but the sense of accomplishment is always there. Stepping out of the ferry makes me feel happy that I won't ever need to go back there.

With Love,
ZulK
